"Todos os projetos começam com um cliente, um sítio e um programa. Este inicia-se com um casal, uma conversa, e uma maqueta feita com os objetos que estavam em cima da mesa. Nesse momento, percebeu-se que se tinha encontrado a forma que os clientes tinham em mente, mesmo sem o saber.
A conversa resultou num protótipo de habitação com dois pisos. O espaço privado define o volume superior mais encerrado, quase como uma “casca”, e o volume inferior cria a liberdade do campo visual por não encontrar obstáculos imediatos. O utilizador sente-se livre de percorrer os espaços comuns, o que convida a uma maior fruição espacial. A sala de estar com pé direito duplo permite a conjugação material do betão e da madeira. Os diferentes espaços apresentam pormenores, como o próprio mobiliário, que foi pensando e integrado na proposta desde o início."
"Every project starts with a client, a place, and a program. This one began with a couple, a conversation, and a model made with the objects that were on the table. At that moment, there was the recognition that the shape that the customers had in mind, even without even knowing it, had been reached.
The conversation led to a two-story prototype. The private space models the upper volume, more closed, almost like a shell, and the lower volume creates freedom for the visual field. The user feels free to walk through the common spaces, which creates a greater spatial fluidity. All spaces have details, such as the furniture design, that were thought and integrated in the architectural proposal from the beginning."
