Macau Valley and Lourosa-Fiães Transportation Hub are finalists at the Architizer A+Awards
A arquitetura portuguesa volta a afirmar a sua excelência num dos mais conceituados prémios de design do mundo. Os projetos Interface de Transportes Lourosa-Fiães, do atelier Atelier d'Arquitectura Lopes da Costa, e Macau Valley, do atelier hori-zonte, foram selecionados como finalistas oficiais dos prestigiados Architizer A+Awards 2026.
A infraestrutura assinada pelo atelier d'arquitectura Lopes da Costa compete na categoria Transportation Infrastructure, enquanto o edifício residencial desenhado pela equipa do hori-zonte está nomeado na categoria Multi Unit Housing - Mid Rise (5-15 Floors). Ambas as obras refletem a elevada capacidade de resposta técnica, a escala e a sensibilidade estética de quem projeta a partir de Portugal para o mundo.
Ver estas obras a alcançar o patamar de finalistas é a prova da vitalidade da nossa arquitetura. Nesta fase, a decisão final pertence ao público através do Popular Choice Award. Convidamos todos a apoiar o talento nacional e a deixar o seu voto nestes projetos de excelência: a votação para o Interface de Transportes Lourosa-Fiães e para o Macau Valley já se encontra a decorrer.
Portuguese architecture once again asserts its excellence in one of the world's most prestigious design awards. The projects Lourosa-Fiães Transportation Hub, by Atelier d'Arquitectura Lopes da Costa, and Macau Valley, by hori-zonte, have been selected as official finalists for the renowned Architizer A+Awards 2026.
The infrastructure designed by d'arquitectura Lopes da Costa competes in the Transportation Infrastructure category, while the residential building designed by the hori-zonte team is nominated in the Multi Unit Housing - Mid Rise (5-15 Floors) category. Both works reflect the high technical response capacity, scale, and aesthetic sensibility of those designing from Portugal to the world.
Seeing these works reach the finalist stage is proof of the vitality of our architecture. At this stage, the final decision belongs to the public through the Popular Choice Award. We invite everyone to support national talent and cast their vote for these projects of excellence: voting for the Lourosa-Fiães Transportation Hub and the Macau Valley is now open.
