Na sua apropriação, acreditamos que a arquitectura participa na dimensão comportamental das pessoas. Essa ideia está presente na resposta arquitectónica que propomos e assiste a todo o processo conceptual e de trabalho. Filosofia Nós colocamos as pessoas no centro do pensamento arquitectónico. Os edifícios são para apropriação das pessoas. São elas que vão usar individualmente ou colectivamente e por isso a nossa crença em que um edifício é sempre muito mais que uma boa resposta formal ou funcional. A nossa filosofia é encontrar no desenho arquitectónico, uma síntese conceptual que combine a beleza da forma na exclusividade do projecto com a simbólica apropriada à sua vivência. "Acredito que a arquitectura é um instrumento actuante na construção e modo de vida de uma sociedade. As pessoas vivem, divertem-se e trabalham em edifícios projectados por arquitectos e por isso a arquitectura deve participar na construção de uma excelente vivência e existência humana. O nosso trabalho assenta sempre num fundamento de estudo árduo e contínuo acerca de como o objecto arquitectónico pode influenciar o comportamento humano e o meio que o envolve. Compreendo a tradição, a tectónica e finalmente o comportamento do edifício face ao Homem, estaremos aptos a responder com perícia aos desafios contemporâneos.
In its appropriation, we believe that architecture plays a role in shaping human behavior. This idea is present in the architectural response we propose and guides the entire conceptual and working process. Philosophy We place people at the center of architectural thinking. Buildings exist for people’s appropriation. They are the ones who will use them, individually or collectively, and for that reason we believe that a building is always much more than just a good formal or functional response. Our philosophy is to find, within architectural design, a conceptual synthesis that combines the beauty of form and the uniqueness of the project with the symbolism appropriate to its lived experience. “I believe that architecture is an active instrument in shaping the way of life of a society. Our work is always grounded in rigorous, ongoing study of how the architectural object can influence human behavior and the environment it inhabits. By understanding tradition, tectonics, and ultimately the building’s relationship with human beings, we are equipped to respond skillfully to contemporary challenges.
