"O apartamento intervencionado situa-se num edifício de habitação coletiva do início dos anos 70. As três frentes orientadas a nascente, a sul e a poente garantem uma boa exposição solar e uma vista desafogada sobre a foz do rio.
Com a preocupação de qualificar e adaptar o apartamento às necessidades do cliente, o projeto introduziu mudanças na configuração dos espaços originais, alterando a tipologia de T5 para T3. Esta transformação permitiu a criação de uma suite com quarto de vestir e o aumento significativo da área da cozinha.
A obra procurou obter o maior impacto com o menor número de intervenções, tendo sido melhorada a qualidade espacial, de conforto e a eficiência energética. De forma criteriosa foi possível reutilizar muitos dos materiais existentes, dando-lhes um novo significado."
"The apartment is located on a collective housing building from the early 70s and oriented to the east, south and west, enjoying a remarkable sun exposure and a privileged view over the river. Regarding the client's needs, the project introduced changes in the configuration of the internal space, transforming the original five bedrooms structure into a three bedrooms apartment. This operation enabled the creation of a master suite with a closet and a significant increase in the kitchen area.
Looking for a careful approach and reusing existing materials, the intervention improved the quality of the internal space and the comfort and energy efficiency of the apartment."
