MASSLAB is a multidisciplinary design studio working across architecture, urban design, landscape, and product development. Alongside its architectural practice, the office pursues research-driven projects that explore the intersections between space, object, and material culture.

Founded in Porto in 2016 by Diogo Sousa Rocha, Duarte Ramalho Fontes, and Lourenço Menezes Rodrigues, MASSLAB now operates from offices both in Porto and Lisbon, with a team of over 60 professionals from diverse cultural and disciplinary backgrounds. This diversity fuels a design approach that is both experimental and contextually grounded.

From large-scale urban strategies to the crafting of bespoke furniture and hardware, MASSLAB approaches every project as an opportunity to investigate, test, and create possibilities. Whether shaping public spaces, interiors, or products, the office is driven by the ambition to design for a hopeful future, where innovation, craft, and critical thinking converge.
