My name is Jorge Filipe Marques Martins, I was born in Paris in 1976, but I came to Portugal with my parents and brother (also an architect) when I was 11 years old. I've lived in Braga ever since, with my wife and two daughters. I graduated in architecture in 2001 from the Lusíada University in V. N. de Famalicão. I started working as an architect straight away, in a process of discovering and adapting to the real working environment. In addition to the work carried out within the various companies I worked for, my professional career was always marked by a parallel activity of designing architectural projects on my own or with professional partners. On my own, it all started with a brief stay in an office in Braga, followed by a longer stay in an office in Celorico de Basto (during which time I designed Casa do Alto), and finally, the company I'm currently working for and have been working with for around 16 years, based in Vila Verde, in the municipality of Braga."
