Santos House

Based on sandy soil, the house develops into two dimensions, one of which faces the Atlantic Ocean  whereas the other is anchored on land. On the one hand one , one loves the vastness, the light and the sea in its hallucinatory movements, at times gentle at times rough while on the other hand there a refusal  of its influence, a moment , the quietness of the place. 
The interpretation of the house represents the location, the movements of the tides, the particularity of the  light and the simple ripples in the sand dunes in duality with the moment of privacy offered to the family in  a simple gesture of understanding it. 
The materials chosen , relate to the lines and forces of each moment and in each characteristic of its  language with the nature that surrounds it. The free experimentation of these materials versus temporal  force of nature allows a coherence with its surroundings and its support in time.  
Thus, the material supplied, in addition to the facades, MARGRES ceramics, such as Kerlite black and  linea open party LPR1, are materials which offer better resistance and durability to the local weather  conditions as well as for their physical characteristics and texture which in turn offers the continuity of the  requirements of contemporary architecture. The application of these two products in contrast allows you to  add to the design the movements and highlight their duality. 
In the interior and for a chromatic coherence there is a continuity through the application of the Linea Open  Party LRP1 on various divisions and surfaces, both on floors and walls which allows a continuous flow on  the whole. This material of a soft and cosy texture permits an unique tone strengthened by the almost  absence of joints transposing us onto the dunes."
