Vasco é natural de Lisboa e inicia os seus estudos artísticos na Escola António Arroio. Licencia-se pela Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa e muda-se para Norte, completando o seu mestrado na Escola Superior Artística do Porto. Neste caminho estabelece diversas relações pessoais e profissionais ao longo do território e explora os diversos modos de fazer e pensar este ofício nas diferentes regiões. Depois de investir 5 anos no mercado de trabalho, reunindo experiência através das colaborações em diferentes gabinetes, surge em 2019 a oportunidade de desenvolver o ofício em nome próprio.
“Por esta ordem, a minha arquitetura advém: do lugar, do promotor, da sociedade local e, só depois, do autor. Assim, a categorização de um “estilo” ou de uma “linguagem” não existe. Nesta metodologia não há estilos. Persegue-se a intenção do cliente e gerem-se as condicionantes naquela mesma ordem.”

Vasco was born in Lisbon and began his artistic studies at the António Arroio School of Arts. He graduated from Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa and later moved north, completing his master’s degree at Escola Superior Artística do Porto. Along this journey, he established numerous personal and professional connections throughout the country, exploring the different ways of making and thinking about the craft across regions. After investing five years in the professional field and gaining experience through collaborations with various studios, the opportunity to develop his own practice arose in 2019.
“In this order, my architecture stems from: the place, the client, the local community, and only then, the author. Therefore, the categorization of a ‘style’ or a ‘language’ does not exist. In this methodology, there are no styles. The client’s intent is pursued, and the constraints are managed in that same order.”
