Situado na Baixa de Lisboa — centro histórico da cidade, o Capsule Neo-Bistro é a segunda parceriaentre o Atelier Réalité e a Capsule.O projecto converte um espaço no piso térreo de um edifício pombalino num restaurante de caráctersingular, preservando e valorizando os elementos mais relevantes do espaço existente — as arcadas,elementos estruturais e característicos da época.A introdução dos novos elementos e das inúmeras infraestruturas é efectuada respeitando aconfiguração espacial existente, minimizando alterações e evitando que se sobreponham à estruturahistórica. A atmosfera resultante é elegante e sóbria, ocultando a complexidade técnica e acolhendo oconceito de restauração definido pelos proprietários — combinando padaria, restaurante, bar eCafetaria.Os quatro arcos assumem agora um papel escultórico, revestidos num tom cinza claro, em harmoniacom paredes e tectos. O pavimento contínuo em marmorite reforça a neutralidade do espaço,permitindo que se destaquem os novos elementos em aço inoxidável e o mobiliário em madeira decarvalho, nogueira e pele.Ao longo do espaço, um balcão corrido delimita a área de serviço e confeção da sala de refeições. Nofundo, uma ilha de forma triangular define a zona de bar e cafetaria. Os lavabos são discretamenteescondidos para lá de um túnel de circulação.A iluminação é realizada de forma difusa e marcante através de grandes leques, que pontuam oprimeiro espaço, e folhas de ginko biloba em burel, conferindo um efeito ornamental delicado eacolhedor. "

Located in Lisbon’s historical center — Baixa Pombalina, Capsule Neo-Bistro is the secondcollaboration between Atelier Réalité and Capsule.The project transforms a ground-floor space in an 18th-century building into a restaurant with uniquefeatures, preserving and highlighting the most significant elements of the existing space — theArches.Design and introduction of new elements are carried out with respect for the existing spatialconfiguration, minimizing alterations and avoiding overshadowing the historic structure.The resulting atmosphere is one of quiet elegance, where simplicity enhances the overall spatialexperience, concealing technical complexity while embracing the owners’ dining concept —combining bakery, kitchen, bar, and café.Four arches now assume a sculptural presence, coated in a light gray tone that harmonizes with thewalls and ceilings. The continuous terrazo flooring reinforces the neutrality of the space, allowing thenew stainless-steel elements and the furniture in oak, walnut, and leather to stand out.A continuous counter runs along the space, separating the service and kitchen areas from the diningroom. Toward the back, a triangular island defines the bar and café area. The restrooms are discreetlyhidden beyond a circulation tunnel.Lighting is both diffuse and striking, articulated through large fan-shaped fixtures that punctuate thefirst space, and Ginkgo Biloba leaves crafted in burel, creating a welcoming and delicate effect. "
