Every year the Archilovers, one of the largest social networks for architects, designers and architecture lovers, selects 1000 projects, assigning them an “ARCHILOVERS BEST PROJECTS” seal. This year, there are 14 projects of Portuguese architecture that I photographed and that were highlighted on the portal.

It is with great joy that I announce that the rehabilitation project of the Municipal Market of Famalicão, designed by architect Rui Mendes Ribeiro, has been honored with the prestigious International Architecture Award 2024, granted by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum for Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

This award, which celebrates innovation and excellence in architecture on a global scale, is a well-deserved recognition of the work and commitment to quality that defined this project. The market’s rehabilitation, which harmonizes modernity and tradition, is now celebrated internationally, standing out among the best contemporary architecture projects.

It was an honor to have documented this extraordinary project through photography and to have closely followed the story of this space. Congratulations to Rui Mendes Ribeiro and the entire team involved for this well-deserved achievement.

Escadinhas Footpaths designed by the architect Paulo Moreira and the art collective Verkron is one of the finalists of FAD awards.

The urban project nominated for the "city and landscape" category connects art architecture and the natural environment, turning forgotten paths into vibrant, color-filled thoroughfares that stand out in the middle of the urban landscape.

Another edition of the "Obra do ano" awards from the Archdaily.com.br ,this year there are 32 Portuguese architectural designs that were at the front of the lens of the photographer Ivo Tavares.

This year, there are 8 projects of Portuguese architecture that I photographed and that were highlighted on the portal.

Casa 109, in Vagos, a project by the Frari architecture network, is the winner of the Future House International Residential Awards 2023, organized by Global Design News &The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, in the "Private Homes" category.
It is the only Portuguese project to win the second edition of this award, which aims to "defend and honor new and inventive residential projects worldwide”.

The project NaMora House , by Filipe Pina Arquitectura and David Bilo, is finalist on "Prémio Nacionais de Arquitectura Forma" in the category of Emerging architects.
